Position Overview
The Multipress Sales Representative reports directly to the Sales Manager and is responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and driving sales of hydraulic presses, press brakes, aftermarket parts, and technical services. This role requires a consultative sales approach focused on understanding customer production challenges and delivering solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude, business development skills, and relationship management expertise to successfully manage long sales cycles and close high-value capital equipment opportunities. This position requires approximately 25–40% travel.
Key Responsibilities
A.) Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify, prospect, and develop new customer opportunities within assigned territories.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to increase equipment, service, and aftermarket sales.
- Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to support growth strategies.
- Aggressively pursue sales opportunities and consistently work toward achieving sales objectives.
- Manage long sales cycles and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
B.) Consultative Selling & Customer Solutions
- Conduct plant visits and operational assessments to understand customer production requirements.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer applications and manufacturing processes.
- Recommend equipment and service solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and return on investment.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, quotations, and bid documents.
- Translate technical product specifications into clear business value for customers.
C.) Relationship & Account Management
- Build long-term partnerships with plant managers, engineers, operations leaders, and procurement teams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales, installation, and support lifecycle.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support product development and company strategy.
D.) Negotiation & Closing
- Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations for capital equipment sales.
- Collaborate with Sales Management to structure proposals, financing options, and commercial terms.
- Address customer concerns related to pricing, lead times, implementation, and operational impact.
- Successfully close high-value equipment and service opportunities.
E.) Project Coordination & CRM Management
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, installation, and service teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Manage projects from quotation through delivery and installation.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts within CRM systems.
- Utilize sales data and pipeline reporting to support forecasting and territory planning.

Compensation
- On Site – will consider remote
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 based on candidate experience, plus commission
