Pacific Press at FABTECH 2018: Everything You Missed

FABTECH 2018

Each year, the FABTECH Expo brings together the world’s top innovators for North America’s largest event in the metal fabrication industry. For FABTECH 2018, Pacific Press joined more than 1,500 exhibitors from 75 countries at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. This three-day expo took place from November 6th-8th, 2018 and was attended by 33,755 visitors. This incredible educational and networking event displayed a wide variety of fabrication equipment ranging from hydraulic presses and welders to robots and 3D printers.

Pacific Press exhibited two machines in our 30’ X 40’ booth in the Forming and Fabricating hall. Our sister companies, Multipress and FENN, had booths at FABTECH as well. Here’s what we presented:

The Pacific Press Display

Our booth’s main attraction was the 100-ton Eco-Former hydraulic press and our  Blaise 175 ton press brake.

The Eco-Former is a compact gap or C-Frame press with a footprint of 80 X 40 X 120”. The Eco-Former is also available in 200- and 300-ton models for those who need greater force.

Designed for forming, stamping, drawing, and punching operations, Eco-Former machines are crafted with high-quality commercial hydraulic valving and cylinders. They come with a 7” display screen for control over tonnage, speed, and stroke. The result is a competitively-priced C-Frame machine press with a low cost of ownership. To demonstrate what it can do, we set up our show model to stamp out golf divot tools.

Pacific has been known historically for larger machines, but this year Pacific brought the compact but robust 175-ton hydraulically-actuated Blaise press brake.

Blaise press brake machines are built with a heavy-duty welded frame, Hoerbiger hydraulics, trunnion-mounted pistons, and pivoting cylinders that extend seal and ram life. The most popular feature is the exceptionally user-friendly Delem Controller, which makes it easy to program even the most complex bending and forming jobs.

Both machines were set up so attendees could get a good look at how they operate. We also provided a selection of product samples to illustrate the type of work our press brakes and hydraulic presses are capable of.

Multipress and FENN

Pacific’s sister companies, Multipress and FENN also exhibited at the show, showing off their own unique equipment.

Multipress   manufactures bench and floor-mounted presses in both C-frame and 4-column designs. At FABTECH, they presented a 6-ton Evolution series servo press in the Metalforming hall.

FENN produces metal forming equipment, such as wire flattening and shaping equipment, drawbenches, spring coilers and rolling mills. For this year’s FABTECH, they displayed an automated Swager solution in the Tube and Pipe hall.

FABTECH Was A Huge Success

The annual FABTECH show is where the fabrication industry comes together. The 2018 expo was a great success. The Pacific Press booth experienced huge levels of traffic and we garnered more leads than at any previous FABTECH show. We are excited to do it all over again at FABTECH 2019 in Chicago, IL!
