Wide Range of Press working Requirements?
Check Out This Multiple Use Press.

Similar to its "bigger brother" D-Series two point press, the M Series Straight Side Hydraulic Press consists of a single cylinder down-acting design, heavy column construction, generous bed/bolster sizes and open heights, and full tonnage supplied throughout the stroke-giving you the application versatility needed to tackle numerous press applications. With the M-Series Straight Side Hydraulic Press from Pacific Press Technologies, you can perform deep drawing, progressive and transfer die work, even blanking work (also suitable for thermoset plastic forming and other advanced material/composite press molding applications.)

Choose from 100 to 1000 ton standard models, bolster sizes ranging from 3' x 3' (left to right x front to back) to 5' x 5' (see specification chart below). Check out our D-Series for dual cylinder, larger bolster applications.

M-Series Straight Side Hydraulic Press Standard Features:

Consider these key machine features/user benefits…

  • Rugged Construction: The reinforced bed is connected to the columns via interlocking wedge keys to help transmit forces equally rather than through bolts, tie rods or welds. Generous openings between columns allow for generous access to the die area and permits continuous coil feeding operations. The removable large bed bolster utilizes a single center-located die cushion (optional) for performing a wide range of draw work with a large pressure pad area. Key to its precision is the 8-point non-binding gibbing system that assures maximum bearing contact with its long non-metallic gib surfaces.
  • State-Of-The-Art Hydraulic System: Each straight side press is equipped with a compact, high-speed hydraulic system enabling fast cycle speeds that can equal or surpass those of mechanical presses of comparable size. Safe and reliable press slide control is found in the Pacific-built modular "stack" cartridge valve design (quick response, minimized heat build up, reduced piping and fitting requirements, improvements in safety and maintenance requirements). The power unit provides three advance speeds (rapid advance, fast press, normal press) and two return speeds. Additionally, the large double acting cylinders provide support to cushion the break-though shock of heavy plate punching with resulting improvements in punch and die life and work quality.
  • PLC Interface controlSuperior Controllability: Gain increased levels of production, versatility and safety. Unlike mechanical presses, full rated tonnage and generous open heights deliver power throughout a long stroke. The M-Series offers a Pendant mounted, PLC Interface control (Allen Bradley 600 Panel View with color screen, Allen Bradley SLC 500 Series PLC) to provide minimum set-up time and maximum flexibility. Tonnage is programmed directly through the control. Other control systems are available optionally.

Optional Features:

  • CNC Controls - Our option facilitates programmable drawing speeds to optimize the most difficult of deep drawing applications…or controllability for faster closing speeds (required processing thermoplastic materials) or precision thickness control (digital servo control of the press slide-as needed in SMC options)
  • Higher Speed Hydraulic Packages
  • Our Fabri-Comp® option facilitates programmable drawing speeds to optimize the most difficult of deep drawing applications…
    Increased Stroke Lengths
  • Increased Open Heights
  • Quick Die Change Systems
  • Die Cushions
  • Hydraulic Knock-outs
  • Coil Feeding/Handling Systems
  • Larger Bed Bolsters
  • Specially Machined Bolsters and Slides
