Longbed Pressformer FP Series Hydraulic Presses

Two Cylinders; narrow front-to-back; long left-to-right

Ideally suited for punching, forming and molding
operations for long and narrow parts.

longbed pressformer seriesThe Longbed Pressformer Series is a natural combination of proven two-cylinder press brake frame design and Pacific’s press control systems. Available in either a limit switch stroke control or with an Allen Bradley Panelview operator interface this series can easily be integrated with feed systems and robotics to manufacture long parts (up to 135’ in triple press configurations).

The fixed upper and lower platens can be machined for mounting dies or quick die change systems. Active leveling and a wide range of throats, open heights and strokes can accommodate a variety of press applications.

Choose from 100 to 3000 ton models with bed size to fit your application. (See specification chart)

Longbed Pressformer Series Hydraulic Press Standard Features:

Consider these key machine features/user benefits…

  • Superior Controllability: Gain increased levels of production, versatility and safety. Choose from standard limit switch stroke control with mechanical/hydraulic servo leveling or dual precision linear scales (+/-.001" ram repeatability) with electric/hydraulic servo leveling and Allen Bradley Panelview operator interface for easy DNC programmable setup and storage of the operating parameters and part programs.
  • Rugged Construction: The most rugged in the marketplace-our interlocked design helps to minimize frame deflection. The fixed wide platens on the bed and ram are gusseted to control deflection and can be machined to accommodate mounting of dies or quick die change systems. Precise ram guiding is ensured via true centerline loading.
  • State-Of-The-Art Hydraulic System: Full rated tonnage and generous open heights deliver power throughout a long stroke. Precision, high-speed performance and dependability all start with Pacific-built stacked valve system. Single piece cast cylinders eliminate high stresses and oil leakage. Hydraulic power units include the features of automatic decompression, precision leveling accuracy, tonnage control/overload protection and redundant valving.

    Three advance speed power units available as standard on 100 through 400 ton models, four advance speed power units are standard on 500 ton and larger models/optionally available on smaller models. Higher speed power units are optionally available. Four advance speeds include…
    • Rapid Advance: rapid closing daylight, no tonnage available;
    • Fast Press: higher speed forming, partial tonnage available;
    • Normal Press: working speed, full tonnage available;
    • Slow Press: slow working speed, full tonnage available

Optional Features:

  • Deeper Throats
  • Increased Open Heights and Longer Strokes
  • Flush Floor Mounting (on some models)
  • Wider Platens
  • Horns
  • Oil Heaters
  • Oil Coolers
  • Hydraulic Tool Clamping
  • Quick Die Change Systems
  • Material Supports
  • Tandem Controls
  • Light Curtains
  • High Speed Power Units
  • Continuous run or remote run

Choose from 100 to 3000 ton standard models, 8-30' standard bed lengths (see specification chart).
Tandem designs (two or more brakes operating in synchronization) deliver long part productivity.

Consult factory if your application requires machine dimensions, speeds or flush floor installation not shown in the table above.

Notes:
All dimensions are in inches unless otherwise noted.
(1) Machine length (L) to be specified by customer
(2) Distance between housing without horns is machine length (L) minus the dimensions shown (Example: K400-14 foot bend length. The between housings dimension is L=14 ft minus 19½" =12' 4½")
(3) A slot in the floor is required to clear the bed plate on small machines over 12' length and all large machines
(4) Models 500 ton and larger require below grade side housing support.
(5) Speeds are in inches per minute
