K-Series Hydraulic Press Brakes
Simply Designed, Simply Executed, Simply...The Best
The Industry Standard in Hydraulic Press Brakes for Medium to Heavy-Gauge Bending Applications
Pacific Press Technologies introduced hydraulic bending technologies more than fifty years ago and the K-Series Hydraulic Press Brake continues to represent the cornerstone to our fabricating equipment technology leadership. This proven design has been helping K-Series Hydraulic Press Brake users to tackle the tough requirements over numerous applications and market-specific demands.
Choose from 175 to 3000 ton standard models, 8-30' standard bed lengths (see specification chart below). Tandem designs (two or more press brakes operating in synchronization) deliver long part bending accuracy and productivity.

K-Series Hydraulic Press Brake Standard Features
Consider these key machine features/user benefits…
- Rugged Construction: The most rugged in the marketplace-our interlocked design helps to minimize frame deflection. Pre-crowned bed design helps to eliminate the need for die shimming, delivering the needed deflection compensation (helping to both reduce overall set up time and improve part quality. Precise ram guiding is ensured.
- State-Of-The-Art Hydraulic System: Precision, high-speed performance and dependability all start with Pacific-built stacked valve system. Hydraulic power units include the features of automatic decompression, precision leveling accuracy, tonnage control/overload protection and redundant valving. Single piece cast cylinders eliminate high stresses, oil leakage.
- Superior Controllability: Gain increased levels of production, versatility and safety. Unlike mechanical press brakes, full rated tonnage and generous open heights deliver power throughout a long stroke. Stroke and speed adjustments (on/off, inch, single-stroke/automatic return, and single-stroke/manual return mode selection switches) permit fast set-ups. A ram tilt adjustment feature facilitates fade-out work and compensates for die variations.

Optional Features
- Plate cell - Adding an optional laser bend alignment system, plate supports and hydraulically powered plate positioning system makes the K series press brake a productive plate forming cell without the requirements for the operators to manipulate the plate by hand.
- Higher Speed Power Units (three speed power unit standard on 500 tons and higher, available as an option on smaller tonnage K-Series brakes; choose from Rapid Advance (no tonnage), Fast Press (partial tonnage), and Normal Press (full tonnage) cycles)
- Medium; Heavy-Duty Powered Backgauges (manual and CNC-controlled models-CNC version drives X1, R and Z1&Z2 Axes)
- Part Extractor - Hydraulically powered, chain driven extractor system moves along the lower tooling to remove a formed part that either cannot be removed from the front of the press brake or is more easily removed by sliding it out of one end of the tandem system.
- Plate Manipulators - Hydraulically powered, chain driven plate manipulators installed in front and behind the press brake bed provide "hands-off" sheet manipulation. Joystick controls incorporated into two hand controls provide the ability to maneuver the sheet to the desired bend location.
- Laser Bend Alignment - Two laser line generators — one at each end of the tandem system - project a visible line at the centerline of the installed tooling. A blank with the bend lines marked is moved into the press brake until the mark and the visible laser line are aligned and the press brake is cycled to accurately complete the bend. An optional center mount (removable) laser line generator is available when a single press brake of the tandem system is to be used.
- Other optional features include - Lengths up to 45' in a single press brake, Back Travel Over-Ride, Foot switch, Deeper Throats; Increased Open Heights and Longer Strokes; Wider Platens and Angle Brackets; Heavy Duty Ram Inserts; Horns; Multiple Depth-Stops; Oil Coolers and Heaters; Multiple Control Stations; Light Curtains; and Automated Centralized Lubrication Systems

Consult factory if your application requires machine dimensions, speeds or flush floor installation not shown in
the table above.
Notes:
(1) Machine length (L) to be specified by customer
(2) Distance between housing without horns is machine length (L) minus the dimensions shown (Example: K400-14'bend length. The between housings dimension is L=14' minus 19½" =12' 4½")
(3) A slot in the floor is required to clear the bed plate on small machines over 12' length and all large machines
(4) Models 500 ton and larger require below grade support for side housings.
