The OBS PF represents industry's ultimate hydraulic C-frame press. This "all purpose" workhorse delivers unmatched productivity, increased part quality/die clearance.

All OBS PF models include single cylinder, C-Frame design which provides for three-sided accessibility to the work area, suitable for diversified short-run applications as well as high production work. Specifically, the OBS (Open Back Stationary) PF design consists of a single cylinder down-acting design; 8 point (long, square type, adjustable) non-metallic gibbing for superior accuracy/rigidity; one-piece welded frame/box bed construction; removable slide and bed bolsters; and a high speed, air/oil cooled hydraulic package with full tonnage supplied throughout the stroke. Tackle a wide range of jobs including blanking, punching, deep draw forming, embossing, coining, even coil-fed operations…with confidence and affordability in mind.

Choose from 110, 150 and 250-ton standard models, bolster sizes ranging from 21" x 29" to 28" x 36" (see specification chart below).

Standard Features:

Take a look at these key machine features/user benefits…

  • Rugged Construction: Key feature to the design is its 8 point (long, square type, adjustable) non-metallic gibbing that provides better support, alignment, and smoother operation of the slide assembly at higher stroking speeds. (8-point gibbing is typically only found in larger straightside presses.) Deep side housings, box-type bed construction and inverted cylinder design provides a lower profile press structure to minimize deflection and deliver an impressive accuracy during higher capacity operations. Ample open heights and deep throat permits the use of large dies and easy access to the tooling from three sides-improved set-ups and adapting to any needed automation. Plus an open back design facilitates scrap removal. Large removable tool holder and bed bolster (removable) is offered in standard or custom configurations.
  • State-Of-The-Art Hydraulic System: Each press is equipped with a compact, high-speed hydraulic system enabling fast cycle speeds that can equal or surpass those of mechanical presses of comparable size. Pacific-built modular "stack" cartridge valve design delivers minimized heat build up, reduced piping and fitting requirements, and improves safety/maintenance issues (automatic decompression, non overloading, etc.). The power unit provides advanced operational speeds (rapid advance/normal press and normal press/normal press) and a high return speed, with speed/speed changes adjustable at any point in the stroke.
  • Superior Controllability: Unlike mechanical presses, full rated tonnage and generous open heights deliver power throughout the stroke. A two-hand control is standard and provides for safe operation. A keyed mode selector switch aids set up and production applications (settings include: off, inch, single stroke manual return, single stroke automatic return). PLC interface control (Allen Bradley 550 Panel View) is standard on the OBS, enhancing set-up and operational performance. (Control features include: complete adjustability of top and bottom stroke settings, press speed/knockout points adjustable at any portion of the stroke.

Optional Features:

  • 8-point (long, square type, adjustable) gibbing for superior accuracy
